Project Detail

8X Solar Farms 5kW-30kW

In order to offset their carbon emissions and make on operational savings in their sewage treatment assets, QLD Urban Utilities decided to harness the power of solar, and install 8 solar farms ranging from 5kW through to 30kW throughout the South East Queensland corner. The solar farms were designed to support the facilities by providing a renewable power source that was completely self-sufficient from the electricity grid, reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

A1 Highways was engaged by Conergy to carry out the installation of the solar farms. Including installation of posts which included rock drilling, trenching, and cable pulling through the conduits in preparation for the electrician and general earthworks.
