A1 Highways Owner and Director, Michael Lunn, has over 30 years experience in the civil construction industry, working throughout Australia, Europe and South East Asia. Facilitating all aspects of major road construction projects throughout his career, Mick overseas all A1 Highways operations from start to finish. Mick has been the driving force behind the introduction of innovative and exclusive products sourced from overseas, with the aim to advance the Australian road construction industry.
As a Project Manager, Daniel’s role is the planning and implementation of projects in accordance with the clients and company requirements. Tasks included the overall facilitation and definition of the project scope and programming, including resourcing levels and the procurement of all materials. As a key focus, Daniel is accountable for the overall project cost control, evaluating costs to ensure that the project stays within the designated budget. Liaising between the client and project stakeholders is a key consideration, with Daniel constantly monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project to all parties.
An experienced Project Manager with over 20 years’ in the construction industry, Darren is the A1 Highways Maintenance Project Manager. Darren is responsible for facilitating and managing the maintenance works for both the Government and public entities on both minor and major arterial roads.
Darren’s strengths include his ability to effectively manage con-current programming in order to meet the client’s requirements, while maintaining a firm grasp on cost controls.
Darren’s has a strong aptitude for leadership, which is evident by his ability to drive projects teams to achieve the best project outcomes for all stakeholders.
Gabriel is responsible for all the financial requirements of the business. As an accountant and auditor with nine years’ experience, Gabriel’s capabilities span across a diverse range of industries including oil & gas, banking, material handling, IT, telecom, retail services, automotive, hospitality and civil construction.
Debbie Hammond joined our team in 2013 to provide payroll and administrative support, working alongside the Accounts Manager to co-ordinate and implement accurate accounting policies and procedures. Debbie is an accomplished Payroll/Administration Officer with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry.
A Regional Manager for North Queensland, Ian has over 9 years’ experience in numerous forms of construction. Managing the supply and installation of road projects, including Townsville Port Access Road, Bruce Highway Cardwell Re-Alignment and the Bruce Highway Upgrade at Cludden, Ian’s projects have performed well in terms of safety, cost, quality and programme performance. Ian‘s portfolio has seen him manage projects up to $1.5 million, working to TMR specifications.
Drew has acquired many unique skills sets contributing to his success as a Site Supervisor. Drew’s key responsibilities included the daily site coordination, liaising closely with the Project Manager and site crews, monitoring program performance and driving best project practices. Applying his leadership skills, Drew is equipped to provide the guidance, supervision and direction, coordinating staff to efficiently complete the client’s project objectives within the desired scope. A focal part of Drew’s role is to deliver pragmatic solutions centred on finding optimal outcomes for both the client and company.
Greg has worked in the safety barrier industry for over 15 years. Starting his career as a Labourer, Greg learnt the correct installation methods for all forms of safety barrier systems and terminals, which provided the foundation for promotion to a Supervisory role. Regularly attending meetings with suppliers and customers, Greg discussed the functionality of the various safety barrier systems, advising the client’s on the safety requirements and site suitability to deliver best project outcomes.
